We all know that whenever we are in the sun we should be using sunscreen to prevent skin damage. We all heard about the consequences of too long exposure to the sun. But what actually is a sunscreen and what do the SPF numbers on it mean?
Who doesn’t love a good face mask? About two months ago I bought Pure-Clay Mask Detox & Brighten Treatment from L’oreal. It has three pure clays and charcoal, which means some serious detox for the skin! I am a huge fan of clay masks because they make the skin soft and feeling really clean, fresh and matte.
This time I bring you the Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator by Peter Thomas Roth. It’s a gentle, refreshing mask in gel form that helps soothe, hydrate and detoxify the skin. It’s meant for pretty much every skin type, to be used whenever our skin is feeling irritated or dehydrated. The product has botanical extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, and aloe vera (whew that’s quite a lot of nature in one pot, isn’t it?). The mask doesn’t contain any parabens or sulfates.
If you are looking for a new face cream and have sensitive skin this one might be just for you. I bought Iwostin Sensitia Moisturizing Cream with a touch of uncertainty. A big package of 150ml for so cheap? I was intrigued. The cream is intended for sensitive and allergic skin (it doesn’t contain any perfume or dye). Its job is to hydrate, smooth out and regenerate the skin. Its ingredients include grape seed oil to seal in the moisture, shea butter to regenerate the skin and vitamin E to protect against free radicals and irritation.
When the temperature reaches way below zero degrees Celsius it’s time to take extra care of our skin. The season doesn’t go easy on us not only with the cold but also with all the layers that we wear, hats and scarves rubbing on our skin. For many of us our skin becomes extremely sensitive and really dehydrated (that’s me!). I’d like to share with you what products I’m currently using for my winter routine.
