Enzyme peels are really great stuff for those of us who have sensitive skin and regular peelings can irritate them. I started using this peel a long time ago – before my wedding to prepare my skin to look absolutely flawless on the special day! It was recommended to me then by a makeup artist and I decided to give it a go! I think the fact that I’m still using it over two years later says it all, so let’s dive in!
A good face cream is crucial for our makeup to apply well and stay on our faces without creasing, fading or moving around. Without a well moisturized face all our imperfections (hello dry skin flakes) will be very, very much visible. I’m always looking for creams that are light and sink into the skin fast without leaving any sticky film behind. This time I tested Mixa Hyalurogel moisturizing face cream, so let’s see how it turned out, shall we?
At the beginning of the summer I strolled into a drugstore looking for a good face cream. I found this gem – Hada Labo Tokyo Absolute Smoothing & Moisturizing cream on sale, and thinking of all the hype about asian cosmetics I decided to give it a try. My skin loves everything with hyaluronic acid and this cream promised to have a lot of it!
We all know that whenever we are in the sun we should be using sunscreen to prevent skin damage. We all heard about the consequences of too long exposure to the sun. But what actually is a sunscreen and what do the SPF numbers on it mean?
Who doesn’t love a good face mask? About two months ago I bought Pure-Clay Mask Detox & Brighten Treatment from L’oreal. It has three pure clays and charcoal, which means some serious detox for the skin! I am a huge fan of clay masks because they make the skin soft and feeling really clean, fresh and matte.
This time I bring you the Cucumber Gel Mask Extreme Detoxifying Hydrator by Peter Thomas Roth. It’s a gentle, refreshing mask in gel form that helps soothe, hydrate and detoxify the skin. It’s meant for pretty much every skin type, to be used whenever our skin is feeling irritated or dehydrated. The product has botanical extracts of cucumber, papaya, chamomile, pineapple, sugar maple, sugarcane, orange, lemon, bilberry, and aloe vera (whew that’s quite a lot of nature in one pot, isn’t it?). The mask doesn’t contain any parabens or sulfates.
If you are looking for a new face cream and have sensitive skin this one might be just for you. I bought Iwostin Sensitia Moisturizing Cream with a touch of uncertainty. A big package of 150ml for so cheap? I was intrigued. The cream is intended for sensitive and allergic skin (it doesn’t contain any perfume or dye). Its job is to hydrate, smooth out and regenerate the skin. Its ingredients include grape seed oil to seal in the moisture, shea butter to regenerate the skin and vitamin E to protect against free radicals and irritation.
When the temperature reaches way below zero degrees Celsius it’s time to take extra care of our skin. The season doesn’t go easy on us not only with the cold but also with all the layers that we wear, hats and scarves rubbing on our skin. For many of us our skin becomes extremely sensitive and really dehydrated (that’s me!). I’d like to share with you what products I’m currently using for my winter routine.
