Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter

As you may know, I have an unhealthy addiction to highlighters. Which is why I thought, hey, why not get another one? You cannot ever have too many of those. This time I went for Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter in Peach Lights. I love Makeup Revolution products, especially given their price range, it’s amazing what high quality makeup they offer.

First of all, the package. It’s simple, it’s plastic and it gets scratched super fast. As a warning when you start using the product, it gets all over the place as it happens with most baked highlighters, but in this case it’s really visible. After application I usually have it all over my hand even though I am using a brush to apply it. But, omitting that, on the face it stays on its place and doesn’t budge. I love the shape in which the highlighter is baked. It’s so pretty!

The color is a lovely light pink-peachy pearl shade. Let me just say, it’s sooo pigmented! On the face it doesn’t look overwhelming, but glowy and dewy. It catches the light in just the right way, making you look really radiant and fresh. The highlighter has a silky formula so it just glides on the skin. It blends very well and I don’t think it’s possible to go overboard with it. It’s long lasting, it stays on for the entire day and after that time you don’t really need any touchups. Like most baked highlighters, it’s really efficient and one package will last you for ages!

If I were to compare it to other highlighters I own, I would say it’s pretty close to Benefit’s High Beam. Even though they have different consistency (High Beam is a liquid highlighter), the final effect is pretty close. Though I would say Peach Lights has more pink tones, while High Beam looks a bit warmer on the skin, but they are pretty close.

I’m definitely going to be using it a lot this spring, I fell in love with how pigmented it is and the shade is really complementing. I love how it catches the light and makes you look instantly fresh and well rested. If you’re just starting with your highlighters collection or are looking for a budget buy it’s really worth it!
