Best lipsticks for spring that you need to try right now!

Spring is here, so it’s time to whip up lighter and more lively colors to put on our lips. This is also the time when I love to use lipglosses (during winter I actually barely use them, how about you?). Here is a collection of my best lipsticks for spring time.

Here’s how they all look like on the lips :

From top left – Benefit’s Dandelion, Clarins Gloss Prodige, Maybelline Color Whisper in Lust for Blush, MAC in Please Me, wet n wild Silk Finish in Ready To Swoon and wet n wild’s MegaLast in Rose-bud.

MAC Matte – Please Me

You already know that MAC lipsticks are my absolute favorites. This one is a warm muted pink shade. The formula is great, it’s matte and does not dry out the lips. It lasts for hours and hours. This one holds a special place in my heart, because I actually wore it on my wedding day. It’s such a complementing color, I think it looks good with most skin tones. You just cannot go wrong with this gem.

Wet n wild MegaLast Lip Color – Rose-bud

This one just screams spring to me. I adore the MegaLast lipsticks from wet n wild, they have such intense colors and the are truly long lasting. It has a matte finish. Rose-bud is a wonderful pinky-red color. Like rose petals. It looks so lovely on the lips and makes your face look instantly fresh.

Wet n wild Silk Finish Lipstick – Ready to Swoon

It’s a red silky lipstick with a gold sheen. It doesn’t last as long as wet n wild’s MegaLast Lip Colors, but it still does nicely on the lips (up to 4 hours). It’s such a nice color, you can wear it all the time from spring all through fall. It doesn’t look too over the top, but just perfect. The application is a pleasure, since it has very silky formula (it has vitamins A and E and aloe vera!).

Benefit Ultra Plush Lip Gloss – Dandelion

It’s a nude pink lip gloss with gold shimmer. It smells really nice, it’s shiny and looks almost clear in the sunlight. The formula is creamy and hydrating. Even though the package is quite small you need just a bit to apply to your lips. I love it on the go, when I can smear it on  without paying much attention and I know it will look nice. It fits into any bag!

Maybelline Color Whisper – Lust For Blush

This one is extremely light on the lips, like the name suggests it’s just a whisper. It’s very delicate and semi-transparent. The shade is muted pink. I love how it looks on the lips, but it comes off really quickly and must be reapplied pretty frequently. However it does fade away nicely, doesn’t leave any patches. It gives your face this gorgeously subtle radiant look. I don’t like the package though, it gets scratches all over really fast.

Clarins Gloss Prodige – Water Lily

The lipgloss has a pretty thick texture, it’s a nude pink with lots of shimmer. Let me just say that it smells heavenly and I love to apply it. Because the texture is quite thick it is a bit sticky on the lips. Unfortunately that means it also likes to transfer onto mugs, forks, spoons etc. leaving them sticky in turn. But the way it looks on the lips is totally worth it. I love how the sparkles in it catch the light, it gives a really subtle and lovely effect. It’s also really moisturizing.
